SMS Terms

1. What these terms cover

These SMS Terms apply when you ask CareJan to send a one-time verification code to your mobile number on carejan.com — for example, after you complete the “Find a caregiver” form and choose to verify your number. CareJan LLC (“CareJan”, “we”, “us”) operates as a Domestic Referral Agency under California Civil Code Section 1812.5095; we match and connect families with independent caregivers and do not employ, supervise, or provide care.

2. Consent to receive a verification text

When you tap “Text me a code,” you agree to receive a one-time verification text message from CareJan at the number you entered. This is transactional messaging that you request. It is not marketing, and providing your number for verification is not a condition of any purchase.

3. Message frequency

We send a verification text only when you request one. If you ask to resend a code, you will receive another message. There is no recurring or automated messaging program.

4. No marketing texts

We do not send promotional or marketing text messages through this verification flow. If we ever offer a separate marketing or updates text program, it would require its own, separate opt-in with its own disclosures.

5. Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. CareJan does not charge you for verification texts, but your carrier may.

6. Opt out and help

Because these are one-time codes you request, there is no ongoing list to leave. You can simply stop requesting codes. Standard carrier keywords still apply: reply STOP to opt out of further texts, or HELP for help. For assistance you can also email support@carejan.com.

7. Carriers

Supported carriers include major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device.

8. Our messaging provider

We use a third-party messaging provider (Twilio) to send verification codes. Your number is shared with that provider only to deliver the code you requested. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

9. Eligibility

Verification texts are available for U.S. and Canada (+1) mobile numbers. You must be 18 or older and the account holder or authorized user of the number you provide.

10. Changes

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the latest version.
