About CareJan
Finding care starts with being understood. CareJan connects Southern California families with English- and Farsi-speaking caregivers, with language, location and everyday needs at the center of the search.
CareJan is a bilingual caregiver registry operated by CareJan LLC in Irvine, California. Families use the platform to find introductions, then choose and hire caregivers directly.
A place to begin your search
For a Persian-speaking parent, being able to explain a routine or have a familiar conversation can matter as much as the schedule. CareJan gives families a way to describe those preferences and look for caregivers in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.
- Describe the care you need. Post a care request with your city, preferred language, tasks and schedule.
- Explore your options. Browse caregiver profiles and discuss availability, experience and proposed terms directly.
- Prepare for a decision. Read our English and Persian guides about arranging help at home and questions to ask before hiring.
You can use the website or the CareJan iOS app. A suitable introduction depends on your location, schedule, needs and caregiver availability.
Where CareJan’s role begins and ends
CareJan operates as a Domestic Referral Agency under California Civil Code 1812.5095. It provides a platform for introductions; it does not provide care itself.
CareJan does not employ, supervise, screen, vet or certify caregivers, and does not guarantee the quality or safety of their services. Families are responsible for interviews, checking qualifications and references, arranging background checks, choosing a caregiver and supervising the care they arrange.
Families and caregivers agree on tasks, rates and schedules directly. Review any separate CareJan referral fee and its terms before accepting a private-pay introduction. IHSS provider matching through CareJan is free.
A family checklist before arranging care
- Write down the routine. Include the help needed, language preferences, location, days and hours. Involve the person receiving care in those choices.
- Ask about relevant experience. Discuss the specific tasks, what the caregiver can do and what falls outside their role. Verify any claimed qualifications yourself.
- Check references and background. Speak with references and arrange your own checks before making a hiring decision.
- Confirm the terms in writing. Agree on duties, pay, scheduling, cancellations and how changes will be handled. Review any separate referral fee.
- Plan ongoing communication. Decide whom to contact about changes, how to share updates and what to do if the arrangement needs to change.
Use the caregiver hiring FAQ and care budget guide to prepare for those conversations.
The founder behind CareJan
Behnood Neshat founded, designed and built CareJan. Based in Irvine, he also runs Neshat.ai, where he works on AI search visibility and software. CareJan is one of his own products: the two projects share the same founder. CareJan is operated by CareJan LLC.
